Who is Tia?Tia is a busy quilter, who needs fabric she can afford, and easy, fast patterns she can finish quickly. Are you like Tia? What is stopping you from quilting? Do you say any of these 'Tia' sayings? 1) I don't have the money to buy up yards and yards of fabric. 2) There is no way I would know what fabrics to put together into a quilt. 3) I don't have the time or patience to make a quilt! Tia Answer # 1 - I know what this is like. I love quilting (and fabric) but with a family and a hectic schedule who has the time or energy. But, I really wanted to quilt, so I found a way that didn't cut us down to one meal a day. Fat quarters! We offer a great assortment of fat quarters at great prices. We also offer quality fabrics for your quilt by the yard. We make it affordable to quilt. Tia Answer # 2 - I could buy a few fat quarters here and there. It gave me an assortment of fabric at minimal cost. Also, there were fat quarter packs already matched for me. I didn't have to spend half a day matching fabric. I could order online (much to my kids delight), without having to leave the house! There are other positives about a fat quarter stash- 1) it takes up very little room 2) you don't need to wonder how much yardage each piece is, they are all the same 3) you can pull from your stash anytime you feel creative and don't have to run to the fabric store before you start. I also bought a few yards of neutral fabric for my stash to use as backing or background. I started with just white or ecru. This would work well with most of my fat quarters. I also only would use white, ecru, or black thread. Even less to buy! I could even buy just charm squares! This would give me a large assortment of fabric without having to trade or gather for months. You are thinking...this is sounding good, but still I don't have time to shave my legs let alone quilt! Tia Answer #3 - I wanted to create a website for people like me. I wanted to offer super easy patterns that used fat quarters or charm squares. The patterns sold here are simple to understand (for us visual learners, with a short attention span) and can be made in a variety of sizes. I also wanted to offer fat quarter packets, so you could get quilting quickly, without matching, or figuring out the yardage. And as if fat quarters weren't easy enough, we offer squares, pre-cut strips, and kits. We also offer a cutting service. You can have your fabric cut and ready to sew, one less thing to do before you can get quilting! So, here it is.
